The Route
Our GPS-Tracker will send our GPS-position every 10 minutes to a satellite, and then will be displayed on the map below. So you can track us live:
We currently can only show the last couple of days! For a full map with all tracking points head to share.delorme.com/TheBaatarnators.
At share.delorme.com/TheBaatarnators you can get more info, and when you click on Users List and Dominik Aumayr, you even can send us a message onto our GPS-tracker-device!
The following map shows our planned route as a grey line, and the Live-Tracking-Points from above. If the points are far away from the line, then please call our parents - there seems to be something wrong ;-)

As ambitious and responsible Rally participants we settled on a route that meets our high standards of adventure-quality while conserving some form of travel-convenience.
After the official European launch of the Mongol Rally 2014 on July 19th in the Czech Republic our journey will lead us towards Hungary, Romania and Moldova and straigth into to the beautiful town of Odessa at the Black Sea in the country of Ukraine. After a short trip to Russia we plan to pass by the Caspian Sea into Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, where we will head into Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and plan to drive the Pamir Highway. Then were going north-bound back to Kazakhstan and Russia, and last but not least in Mongolia, where we will cross the country towards its capital Ulaanbaatar.
The way back to our moms is already booked: We will fly back home on August 28th, by which date we absolutely have to reach Ulaanbaatar. If we fail, or girlfriends will officially kill us or at least punish us (which some say is apparently very welcome by one of us). We will hand over our car to the Adventurists, and they will freight it to Europe us, and we fly via Moscow back to Austria.
